Emergency Response Experts is a Los Angeles-based elite safety, medical, and firearms training organization trusted by productions, corporations, healthcare professionals, and individuals across the country.

Our mission is simple: equip people with the knowledge and confidence to act in critical moments — saving lives and preventing emergencies before they escalate. Through hands-on, expert-led instruction, we build trust, empower learners, and ensure that every participant walks away prepared to apply life-saving techniques anytime, anywhere.

What We Do

We operate across three core pillars — Health, Safety, and Firearms Safety — delivering comprehensive training and professional services at every level.

Under our Health services, we offer American Red Cross certified CPR / AED / First Aid courses for individuals and corporations, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare professionals and students, and licensed Set Medics for film, television, and live event productions.

Our Safety division provides certified Safety Advisors for hire on productions and corporate environments — SB-132 compliant and OSHA-aligned — alongside Active Violence Immediate Response Training (AVIRT) through our HSI-approved training center, available for individuals and organizations.

Through our Firearms programming, we offer NRA-aligned certifications including Firearms Safety Certification, Basics of Pistol Shooting, Basics of Rifle Shooting, and Basics of Shotgun Shooting Courses - training the next generation of responsible, qualified firearms owners.

  • Mikey Koffman

    CEO & NREMT
    30+ years

    Mikey Koffman is a seasoned and highly skilled professional with over three decades of experience in emergency medical services, health & safety and firearms training. She has held the accreditation of a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) since 1996 and is certified in Tactical Emergency Medical Services (TEMS). Additionally, Koffman is a Certified Red Cross CPR/AED/BLS Instructor, Certified NRA Firearms Instructor, Range Safety Officer, Certified AVIRT Instructor,  LAFD CERT Certified, Fire Safety Management Certified and OSHA & SB-132 Safety Advisor, showcasing her dedication to health and safety education and training.

    Her company has gained a strong reputation for delivering expert safety solutions to high-profile clients, including City National Bank, Banc of California, Disney, Paramount, Skydance, 44 Blue Productions, ESL Gaming, Intuitive Productions, The Switch, OTG Productions, Good Shepherd Center, Monami Productions, and A Smith and Company Productions, to name a few.

  • Cecilia Tripp

    Director of Marketing

    Cecilia Tripp began her journey in Social Media Management back in 2016. Since then she has helped brands and solopreneurs, such as The Moses West Foundation, Simon Casting, Mandy DiMarzo and Tammin Sursok, build powerful and engaged online audiences. Cecilia believes in the power of storytelling and building genuine connections online.

  • Jinny Pollinger

    Red Cross Instructor
    10+ years

    Jinny has been certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED for over a decade, most recently re-certified through American First Responders in December 2024. She received her First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor training and certification from the American Red Cross in January 2025. Jinny also works in outdoor education, facilitating adventure programs, including kayaking, hiking, and camping, for students of all ages.

  • Kim Rennick, RN

    Nurse
    7 Years

    Kim is an RN with 7 years experience. She graduated with her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Phoenix, Arizona. She started her career in the acute care setting shortly before the COVID pandemic hit. Her first two and a half years of her career were spent taking care of COVID patients as well as Neuro patients post stroke or traumatic brain injury. She currently works at an ambulatory surgery center where she assists in GI procedures as well as Pre Op/ PACU for all types of general outpatient surgeries. She currently holds certifications for ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
